How to read the inventory
- Geography
- Where a regional book's facilities are concentrated, from facility NPIs resolved against the national provider registry. National books cover facilities across the country.
- Facility NPIs
- Organizations — treatment facilities, hospitals and clinics (NPPES entity type 2).
- Clinician NPIs
- Individual practitioners (NPPES entity type 1).
- Service lines
- The billing codes TierBench tracks, grouped by care setting. A code count is how many distinct codes the payer publishes rates for in that line.
- Updating
- The payer's latest files are being loaded. Counts appear once the load completes; every count describes a payer's most recent published data.
